The Furniture Industry Sustainability Programme has upgraded its website to include additional search mechanisms for its membership lists. As well as by name, its c.80 members are now searchable by market, product and sector.
Says scheme manager John Hubbard: “We hope that these new search options will considerably enhance the usefulness of the website - and in particular the members’ directory - to those looking for furniture companies, products and services, which have sustainability at the heart of their operations.”
Launched in 2006, FISP is an independently certified sustainability programme tailored to the needs of the Furniture Industry supply chain. FISP promotes best practice to drive social, economic and environmental change, via continual improvement of members’ business operations.
FISP is supported by four of the sector’s leading trade associations: British Furniture Association (BFA), Commercial Interiors UK (CIUK), Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA), and National Bed Federation (NBF).
